Support Us for Free
There are many ways to support Bedford House, several that do not cost you anything. You could:
Spread the word about Bedford House and help to attract more students.
Leaflet your street with BHCA leaflets.
‘Follow’ and ‘like’ Bedford House on social media.
Tick the gift aid box on the membership form.
Do your online shopping via the portals ‘Give as you Live’, or ‘Easy Fundraising’ at no additional cost to you, selecting Bedford House Community Association as your chosen charity. Bedford House will then receive a percentage of the value of your purchase at no cost to you.
Donate items in kind such as arts and crafts materials and art books which can then be sold in our pop-up shop or on eBay, or used in classes. We are also happy to accept curiosities, antiques, and paintings that we can sell on eBay or auction (regrettably we cannot accept large quantities of fiction/reference books due to storage issues). We advertise for donations in kind in advance of our two annual events in July and November when we are particularly interested in items for the tombola.
Donate items in kind for the garden such as garden furniture in good condition, plants, seedlings, seeds, tools, planters, pots. It is a big garden, and we can most likely find a good home for your donation in kind. Regrettably, we are unable to collect.
Donate left over currency from your trips abroad, or in or out of circulation UK money. Please bring these donations to the Reception area on the first floor (and ring the bell).
Perform at the Open Mic at our summer and/or autumn events.
Donate whole performances and concerts. Please contact Lykke on Office@bedfordhouse.org.uk
Volunteer at Bedford House as a tutor or gardener. Please contact Lykke on Office@bedfordhouse.org.uk
Produce items that can be sold in the Pop-up shop. If you don’t know how to craft you can join Bedford House Crafters who also produce items for the shop. This is a free/donation based Community Activity course.
Thank you to all who already support Bedford House. All efforts, large and small, are hugely appreciated. As a charity we are incredibly grateful for the amazing support we receive from our members.
